FF2400 is a versatile and powerful biomech designed for all kinds of rescue, combat, and support operations. It is equipped with advanced sensors, heavy-duty armor, and a wide array of tools and weaponry, making it capable of handling a variety of challenging scenarios. While most of it is mechanical, FF2400 also has biological components for some of its internal systems.

It was designed by Dr. Mages, while construction was supervised by elite robotics engineer Skye. During this process, Skye and FF2400 (Affectionatelly called Scarlet) developed a strong bond. After construction was complete, the only pilot capable of fully operating FF2400 was Skye, solidifying their unique partnership.

Due to the unique bond between Skye and FF2400, Skye was assigned as the primary and exclusive pilot of the mech, ensuring optimal performance and coordination during missions.

Scarlet is able to operate without a pilot using their AI-Core, but optimal performance and complex decision-making are best achieved when Skye is at the controls. Without a pilot the mech can only operate at about 50% efficiency, limiting its effectiveness in high-stakes scenarios.

Efficiency

  • Without pilot: 50%
  • With Usual pilot: 75%
  • With Skye as pilot: 200%

When a pilot and FF2400 link together, their brainwaves synchronize (using neural strands, visible on image 3 in gallery), allowing for seamless communication and coordination. This neural connection enhances reaction times, decision-making, and overall combat efficiency, making the duo significantly more effective than either could be alone.

There are three modes of synchronization between a pilot and FF2400:

Modes

Physical

Pilot and mech have synchronized physical movements, senses, and reflexes, allowing the pilot to directly control the mech’s actions as if they were an extension of their own body.

Mental

Pilot and mech share thoughts, intentions, and situational awareness, allowing for coordinated actions and enhanced decision-making. This mode enables the pilot to anticipate the mech’s responses and vice versa, creating a highly efficient partnership.

Both

Combines the physical and mental synchronization modes, providing the pilot with full control over the mech’s actions.

Pilot’s brain always has a higher level of priority over the mech’s AI-Core. For emergency disconnect there is a physical pull level next to the cockpit, allowing the pilot to quickly sever the neural link and regain full control.
