Entities classified as Class S pose little to no threat and can be handled with standard precautions. Containment requirements are minimal. They generally do not require specialized containment facilities and are free to move about the facility with minimal restrictions. Most object type entities fall under this classification. Most creatures with Class S live in large habitats within the facility, allowing them ample space to move and interact with their native environment freely.

Attributes

Entities of Class S typically exhibit the following attributes:

• Low threat level
• Can be handled with standard precautions
• Minimal containment requirements
• Freedom of movement within the facility
• Most object and plant type entities fall under this classification
• Large habitats for creatures to interact with their environment

Rights

• Freedom of movement within the facility on their level of clearance
• Access to large habitats for creatures
• Interaction with their native environment
• Can accompany personnel within the facility

Containment

Class S entities are mostly contained at Level 2 in light containment facilities. Either in individual enclosures or within large communal habitats, they are provided with ample space to move and interact with their environment. Class S containment cells are not necessary to be monitored as strictly as higher-class entities. And its generally accepted that personnel can enter these areas with minimal supervision.

Even if Class S entities are generally low-risk, personnel should still exercise standard precautions when interacting with them. Under certain conditions, even class S entities may pose a threat and should be handled accordingly.
